Life is complex. Cell biology is complex. ChemChains is a not-yet-published (but already open source) project which takes a couple man-years of scientific literature research, throws it into a boolean network model, and simulates some cellular chemistry.

I am not a scientist, but in 3 hours of coding I managed to rough out a boolean network in Perl which uses real research data and iterates the network. My Perl, the original C++, and whatever other languages people add to the sandbox are all available for your abuse.

Imagine a day when we can model complex organisms in Perl. use Human;

Come play with us.
