Karen was a founding member of Belfast.pm but now lives in Japan. She still attends meetings at Birmingham.pm when she travels and hopes to get more involved with her local Perl Mongers group in Shibuya.

She is a member of the YAPC Europe Venue Committee and an advisor on the YEF board. She is also on the TPF Steering Committee and Board.

Welcome to the conference website for Yet Another Perl Conference 2008, to be held June 16th-18th on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology. The conference is the premiere North American Perl conference where hundreds of Perl programmers from around the world gather to teach, learn, and collaborate.
